Low Vision Quality-of-Life Questionnaire
El LVQOL es un cuestionario de calidad de vida, específico para pacientes con DV, desarrollado a partir de una amplia muestra de pacientes que presentaban múltiples patologías causantes de disminución visual. Consta de 25 ítems sobre calidad de vida, puntuando cada uno de ellos de 0 a 5 en una escala de Likert. Resultados
La tabla 1 presenta ejemplos de algunas de las preguntas del LVQOL que resultaron más complejas de traducir del inglés al español (traducción directa). Se incluyen observaciones que describen las estrategias adoptadas para abordar tales dificultades, así como la versión finalmente consensuada por el comité de expertos. Discusión
El proceso de traducción y adaptación cultural pretende conseguir una versión del cuestionario que presente equivalencia a nivel semántico, conceptual, de contenido, técnico y de criterio con el instrumento original9. No solo el significado de cada ítem debe ser el mismo, sino que el instrumento debe medir el mismo constructo teórico, cada ítem debe mantener la relevancia en ambas culturas, el método de recogida de datos debe ser comparable y, por último, la interpretación del resultado de la
